Softball..hospital..and weiners

Summer is in full swing for Echo. She is playing fast pitch softball for the first time and just finished a week at Camp Edwards then came home to play in a softball tournament where her team, Lightnings, came in second place. She played left, center, and right fields, and second base. While this was her first year she did see her share of the bench which might have dampened her spirits regarding a return to softball next summer. Her good friend, Kayla, and her coach / father (for a different team) said that they will work on her "she is a natural ball player".

Tiffani and boy friend Sean, families and friends, had a big scare when Sean was admitted to the hospital and placed into a four day medically induced coma after his Asthma became so severe that the coma and ventilation was the only thing that could be done to save him. He has since recovered and has been discharged along with adjustments to his medication.

Cody is working hard. I understand he has one full time job and a part time job though they do not pay any benefits and are for a defined short period of time. After being turned down by the U.S Coastguard and the Navy, Cody is turning his efforts towards a stint in the Army. He said that his recruiter is setting him up with service in the small vehicle maintenance squadron. No schedule on physical yet. Cody has moved in with his girl friend Tia and they are expecting a girl in September.

Kristina is taking the summer off of school bus driving though she is keeping busy with graduation parties and painting rooms at the house. Jeff, her live in, is looking to change his carrier field. He was a union trim installer until the housing market went belly up. Jeff has been working side jobs here and there while looking for something more stable. He is interviewing for a maintenance job at the gambling boat.

Pic's from a recent visit to Scott and Ann's.

and finally... a Weiner sighting!!!  Click on the last pic and zoom in on the drivers side door mirror.

  1. Nice post! Lots of info and nice pics. Tell that girl Echo she needs more balance in her stance. If I'm pitching to her I watch where she strides and throw it away from there. Also I mix up speeds show she can't time anything. More balance will give her more plate coverage.

And in the field, no hands on knees.

Just judging from these pictures, she doesn't look like a first year player. She could be great!
