Yes it has been a while since my last posting. The first of June for a few days Marian, Ann, and Scott were kind enough to put me up and put up with me. I did enjoy the visit! Loved working on "projects" with Scott even if they did require several trips to town. Try as hard as we can, any one job requires that two other projects need to be fixed before the project we first started gets started. Most require a trip or two into town. While the new river pump is up and running, my plumbing handy work would make for the Plumbers poster on how not to do it. Scott and I took the remains of what was once a trailer and cleaned it up, installed floor and side rails with removable tail gate and I'm told the road test was a success, it made it to the dump and back. Time will tell if it will holds up. Scott had sent me a picture of the finished project but I'm not sure where I put it. Will look and post at a later date.
On the way home I stopped to visit Larry and Kathy Deibert at their home in Portage. I was given a tour of their beautiful home that overlooks the Wisconsin River. Had a good time visiting and talking shop, then on to Mom and Dads for the evening.
Wendy and I spent this Friday with Uncle Fred and Aunt Cele. They had taken us up on our offer to give them a tour of Elgin. We had a great time driving through/around Elgin. I understand the highlight of the tour was a stop at 15 Chapel street "where it all began" Fred said. I regret to report that I failed to bring along my camera, dang it! After seeing lots of sights including Sunset Park, ECC and all the development out west, we stopped to have lunch at Jimmy's Charhouse. All in all a beautiful day. Well almost. Fred asked me to look at a printing problem he was having sure I said, piece of cake and after several attempts we got something close to what he was looking for. As you can tell it was not a cake walk. Damn computers as Wendy would say.
