Kerry who???

Matt and Sandy stopped in to wish Wendy a happy mother’s day today. During their visit Matt told us a story that he ran into Kerry Woods while catching a flight home from Phoenix last Friday. Matt’s story is by far more entertaining but I will try to tell it the way he describes his encounter with a guy that looks a little like Kerry Woods. As Matt was waiting for his flight home he saw a guy that was by himself that looked like someone he know but was not sure who it was. Not wanting to stare at this person Matt watched as the man walked past and over to food stand. Matt still felt that he new this person when it struck him that this was Kerry Woods! As Matt tried to collect himself he thought of how he would approach this person to see if he could get an autograph, hell maybe even a picture without looking like a fool. You know all Cubs fans keep their cool in situations like this. Strange, there are other people around waiting for the flight that are wearing Cubs hats but no one is showing this guy any attention. Is it really Kerry or just a look-alike? Will Matt got the nerve up to go over and say, “hay, can I have and autograph”? Sure you can was the reply. Matt was not sure where he was or what he was doing. I think the saying is “star struck”. After the autograph was secured, “can I get a picture”? Again, an enthusiast reply, sure you can! Matt pulled out his camera and with his hand noticeably shaking, took this shot.....










Kerry, or this gut that looks a little like him said no, no we need to do this right. Taking Matts camera and with Matt stuttering instructions on how to use it Kerry, or who ever this guy is, leaned in and caught this shot ...
Matt is the one who looks like a dear caught in headlights. The other guy? Ok he might look a little like Kerry Woods….
