Happy News Year ....

Last night Wendy and I took Matthew and Sandy out to dinner to celebrate their birthdays. Sandy's was on December 20th while Matt's was the 23rd. Shortly after we sat down, Matt announced that he had asked Sandy to marry him. The bright, happy smile on both their faces reflected that Sandy had in fact excepted his marriage proposal. Sandy will continue with college at the University of Missouri at Columbia studying to become a veterinarian. At the end of the first semester we understand that she is first in her class with a 4.0 GPA! She is working on transferring to the University of Illinois at Champaign where she would be closer to home. They have not set a date yet but believe it will be a summer wedding. Wendy and I could not be any happier for the two of them!!
